The Montrose Public Safety Complex is located in downtown Montrose and houses the police department and their support staff. The façade is predominantly masonry with classical and modern elements, speaking to the aesthetic of local character and regional materials. The project includes specialized programming, a secure site, safe haven vestibules, vehicle bays, evidence processing and storage, training rooms, a community room, all under full generator backup. This new facility was built around the existing Police Department and maintains a public entrance to anticipated future public use. The project team was partnered with a building envelope and HVAC commissioning agent to ensure a high performance and long lasting public building.
