The Mesa County probation staff had outgrown their space in the Mesa County Courthouse, requiring the team to find a new place for their operations. Attached to a County administration building, this project renovated an older portion of a metal building which had once served as a cold storage refrigerator for a grocery store.

New exterior cladding included metal panels and stucco to complement the more recently updated administrative half of the complex, and windows were added where feasible to provide natural light into the compact and efficient office layout.  

On the interior, numerous offices, restrooms, training rooms, and a breakroom was added to support the Probation team. Security considerations were built into the construction of the lobby/ check-in areas, and a fire sprinkler system was installed to provide the required level of life safety. This project was done with space efficiency and budget responsibility as the top priorities.
