The Gunnison Watershed School District constructed an addition and renovation to the Crested Butte Community School that roughly doubled the size of existing K-12 school. The facility was upgraded over several seasons and saw an addition to both the to both the elementary and secondary facilities as well as renovations to several areas of the existing building. In cooperation with the Town and County, the secondary school addition has met LEED goals through the use of sustainable materials and practices, and is a LEED Certified.
