Tenant Finish
Serving as an office building, this project included meeting requirements from varying tenants while retaining the unity of the overall presentation of the building–from the outside in. The graceful implication of curvature initiated on the exterior of the building carries through internally, with curving lines on the grand staircase, curved balcony railings, and curved office-front glazing. Material selection was inspired by the natural western landscape, with deep, rich, reds and light straw-like yellows. The overall palette is earthy, yet vibrant. To take advantage of Colorado’s 300 + days per year of sunshine, large panels of windows were installed. The main challenges for this project were ensuring congruity from office space to office space while delivering one complete package in the building.

The facility includes a new clubhouse, pool and concessions building for a private golf and tennis club. The clubhouse, which is built into a hill, contains a pro shop, gym, locker rooms and lounge areas on the walk-out lower level, as well as support areas for maintenance and golf cart storage. The upper/main level, which is at the level of the parking, contains three separate dining areas and a bar/lounge, all with large windows and covered decks outside overlooking the golf course and pool below. Also on this level are kitchen & support spaces and an administration suite. Adjacent to the clubhouse is a pool complex and concessions building serving the pool, golf, and tennis patrons. Design services provided by Blythe Group + co. include the architectural design of the pool area, entire exterior and interior building design and furniture/art selection.
Built on a previously developed site, the Fuoco Honda building effectively raised local expectations of what an automobile dealership can be. Using an existing garage as its maintenance area, this project added office space, service/ waiting areas, a showroom for two or three vehicles and an exterior show lot. Constructed using stucco and aluminum composite metal panels, the exterior of the building provides a long-lasting and recognizable image for the dealership. Designed to meet Honda America’s exacting appearance standards, it serves as a complimentary backdrop to the product display – neither overpowering nor disappearing from the public view.
