The BGCO presents the greatest hits of Academy-award-winning film composer John Williams. Featured is music from Midway, Raiders of the Lost Ark, 1941, E.T., Saving Private Ryan and, of course, Star Wars.

John Williams has composed many of the most famous film scores in history, including those for Jaws, Star Wars saga, Superman, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Indiana Jones films, Jurassic Park, Hook, Schindler's List, and Harry Potter 1-3. If that's not enough, he has composed theme music for four Olympic Games and NBC Nightly News. The BGCO pays tribute to this five-time Academy Award-winning composer. Concert selections will include:

Randy Olson - Violin Soloist
Randy was born in Delaware, Ohio, and began violin studies with Howard Beebe at age six. Later teachers included Daniel Majeske, concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra, and Margaret Pardee, Sally Thomas, and Ivan Galamian of the Juilliard School. Mr. Olson attended Indiana University for study with James Buswell and earned his Bachelor's degree from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Walter Levin and Jens Ellerman, who was also his teacher at the Aspen Music School. Mr. Olson has been a member of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the Nashville Symphony, and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, performing with them in Carnegie Hall. He has been a recitalist throughout the Midwest, and has appeared on recordings with such artists as Vince Gill, Chet Atkins, Reba McEntyre, and Shania Twain. Also active as a teacher for over twenty- five years, he has served on the violin faculty of the Allegro School of Music in Nashville. The 2008-2009 season is Randy’s fourth year as concertmaster of the Bowling Green Chamber Orchestra.
